Missionary in Mexico...(Written by Alton Jr.)

I just came back from Nogales , Mexico which was really emotional and inspiring.
On Saturday what we did was go help the kids and give them shoes and also paint their houses which were made out of sticks and logs. These people there are so grateful for anything u do 4 them, it felt to us that all we did was give them shoes and paint, but to them it was such a big thing. They gave us wonderful hospitality and really looked up to us. It was so sad because, there was like a 5 year old girl who had a her little (at least 1 year) brother wraped on her back with a blanket and they both were barefoot. I bet you are wondering where were her parents are ? Their parents are at least working or out trying to find food. These kids don't know when they r coming back or were they are. However our church got lots and lots of shoes for them in adult sizes and kid sizes. After, we went to go see the border where we made sandwhiches for the poor. Most of these poor people were men who were walking and looking for jobs to take care of there family. These people want to cross the border to go to America and other places for money and jobs, a lot (i mean alot) were shot from trying to jump it. When we were handing the sandwhiches out they would just put them in a sack or bag to save them and come back 4 more because they were still trying to find jobs around Mexico. This all showed us that we are blessed and need to be more grateful 4 what we have. The food there was delicous and the people were very nice. They all love soccer and basketball. I'm so blessed with what God gave and let me see what is on the other side of the door. We need to see people for who they are and not for what they have, we are brothers and sisters in Christ and love is important.

ALTON JR.,
YOUR DAD AND I ARE SO PROUD OF YOU! YOUR YOUNGER SIBLINGS ARE AS WELL AND THEY ADMIRE YOU. NOT EVERY CHILD YOUR AGE GETS THIS OPPORTUNITY AND WE THANK THE CHURCH FOR THAT. MOST OF ALL WE ARE PROUD OF WHAT YOU REALIZED AND THAT YOU ARE MORE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE BECAUSE LET'S FACE IT...YOU ARE SPOILED! LOL! WE HOPE YOU ALWAYS DESIRE TO HELP OTHERS AND GOD WILL BLESS YOU!
